Texas Clean Fleet Program Grants Available, ProCOT Can Help You Apply
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) announced that up to $7.8 million in competitive grants is available to encourage large fleets in Texas to replace older diesel-powered vehicles with alternative fuel vehicles like propane autogas.
Fleets operating in the Clean Transportation Zone, an 80 plus county area in Texas are eligible to apply. Click here for a map to see if you are in the Clean Transportation Zone.
The TCEQ TCFP grants are part of the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP) and are available to owners of fleets of 75 or more vehicles operating in Texas. Grant applicants must commit to replace at least 10 diesel-powered vehicles with alternative fuel vehicles.
Projects eligible for funding under this program must include vehicles that will be operating within the Texas Clean Transportation Zone and that will result in a reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOX) emissions of at least 25%.
Deadline. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. CST, Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
