TERP ERIG Program Accepting Grant Applications 

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP) Program is now accepting applications for the Emissions Reduction Incentive Grants (ERIG) Program. Grant funds are available to upgrade or replace older heavy-duty vehicles with GVWR of over 8,500lbs, non-road agricultural equipment, marine vessels, locomotives, and stationary equipment over 25HP. Since 2001, TERP has granted over $1B dollars to this grant initiative.

Applicants may be eligible for reimbursement of up to 80% of the incremental cost of the project. For replacement projects, the incremental cost is the cost to purchase the replacement vehicle minus the scrap value of the vehicle being replaced.

Eligible counties for this grant round include: Bastrop, Bexar, Brazoria, Caldwell, Chambers, Collin, Comal, Dallas, Denton, El Paso, Ellis, Fort Bend, Galveston, Gregg, Guadalupe, Hardin, Harris, Harrison, Hays, Henderson, Hood, Hunt, Jefferson, Johnson, Kaufman, Liberty, Montgomery, Nueces, Orange, Parker, Rockwall, Rusk, San Patricio, Smith, Tarrant, Travis, Upshur, Victoria, Waller, Williamson, Wilson, and Wise.

ERIG applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2017. 

Applications submitted on application forms from previous ERIG grant rounds will not be accepted.
